Let’s face it: we all love a dashing love interest swaggering into our current read. It’s one of the many (many) wonderful things about YA we can always count on, and you better bet we’ve got plenty coming your way in 2019.
But some of the best romances are the ones we revisit (and, ya know, never want to let go of. Ever.)
So, without further ado, let’s take a peek at some of the romances we can’t wait to return to in 2019!
(kissy spoilers ahead, duh)
1. Song of the Dead – Odessa & Meredy
The sparks were there in book one. And, you know, one of these days we all might actually get over Odessa’s heartbreaking situation in Reign of the Fallen. In fact, maybe Odessa and Meredy setting off on a dangerous voyage beyond Karthia’s voyage is just the set up we’ve been waiting for for Odessa to finally find her happily ever after. *fingers crossed*
2. The Triumphant – Fallon & Cai
We love a dangerous romance that’s wrong in all the right ways, which is why we love Fallon and Cai…if Fallon can save Cai in time, that is. It’s tough when epic battles get in the way of love.
3. The Wicked King – Cardan & Jude
Talk about a will they or won’t they romance. *grabs popcorn*
4. All for One – Alex & Eliza
The sweeping love story of Alexander Hamilton and Elizabeth Schuyler comes to a close in All for One…and tbh we aren’t ready to let go. *cries*
5. The Smoke Thieves: Demon World
This one is 2x the heart eyes emojis.
Catherine & Ambrose
Because who can resist a classic princess-meets-a-noble-knight love story? (Answer: not us.)
Edyon & March
Okay, so spy-meets-thieving-secret-prince-and-they-argue-but-then-fall-in-love may not be quite so classic, but it should be and you really don’t want to miss out. Trust us.
Basically, we can’t to see where these four end up next. *heart eyes*
6. Her Royal Highness – Millie & Flora
We swooned over Daisy and Miles falling in love in Royals. Now, it’s Millie’s turn to track down her fairytale ending…with an actual princess.
