Who’s your favorite author, living or dead? Stephen King. The wealth of stories from this man has kept me thrilled, challenged and entertained for decades.

What’s your favorite thing about your book? The major theme of Blood and Salt is the destructive force of love, on every level.

If you could spend one year on a deserted island with one character from literature, who would you choose? Harry the Dirty Dog. I loved that book. He’d make a great companion.

Where do you write?  I work at The Writers Room in NYC.

Who is your favorite hero or heroine of history? Calamity Jane. She was a total badass.

Do you tweet? Oh do I!

What’s the funniest thing you’ve ever tweeted? ‘My rice krispies treat just fell in the toilet. It’s probably best we don’t discuss how that came to pass, but sad. So very sad.’

What is your favorite season? FALL. Obviously.

If you could teleport anywhere in the known universe right now, where would you go? A cottage in the moors of Scotland. Warm pajamas. Nice fire. Whiskey. And a great book.

Do you have any writing rituals? I really don’t. But Iced Green Tea is a must.

What is your idea of earthly happiness? Laughing with my friends.

What is the best concert you’ve ever been to? The Pixies at CBGB’s

What are you currently working on? I’m working on the sequel to Blood and Salt. And I’m finishing up THE LAST HARVEST, which has been pitched as Friday Night Lights meets Rosemary’s Baby. I also have a few ideas brewing about what I want to work on next. Can’t wait!!!!
