Hello readers! Well, i’m very excited for this release by the one and only @marieluthewriter that i’ve found on the latest @spearcraftbookbox of this month 🕹 Synopsis For the millions who log in every day, Warcross isn’t just a game—it’s a way of life. The obsession started ten years ago and its fan base now spans the globe, some eager to escape from reality and others hoping to make a profit. Struggling to make ends meet, teenage hacker Emika Chen works as a bounty hunter, tracking down players who bet on the game illegally. But the bounty hunting world is a competitive one, and survival has not been easy. Needing to make some quick cash, Emika takes a risk and hacks into the opening game of the international Warcross Championships—only to accidentally glitch herself into the action and become an overnight sensation. Convinced she’s going to be arrested, Emika is shocked when instead she gets a call from the game’s creator, the elusive young billionaire Hideo Tanaka, with an irresistible offer. He needs a spy on the inside of this year’s tournament in order to uncover a security problem . . . and he wants Emika for the job 🕹 Isn’t it exciting? It’s perfect if you loved Ready Player One and i’m sure Marie Lu won’t disappoint her fans. When my October TBR is over i’ll try to read it asap! 🕹 Have you read it? Or do you have it on your TBR? #warcross #marielu

I’ve been confused all week as to what day it is, but I’m thrilled that it’s Thursday! Only 4 more sleeps until Mags and I get to meet Tamora Pierce. TAMORA PIERCE, you guys. 🙊🙊 Anyway. I’ve been wanting to read Stephanie Perkins’ new book ever since I heard about it, so I was thrilled that we snagged this advance partial copy at BookCon. And then I read it and was totally creeped out. 🙈I will admit that I’m a scaredy cat in real life but I love mysteries all the same! -Len #grimdragon: psycho killer. Self-explanatory with this title, in my opinion. 🔪⚰️ #lilfallvibes: 👻. I sincerely hope that if I ever come back as a ghost, I come back as a fun one! Ps This is the creepiest place in my own house, which makes it perfect for a psycho killer prompt. There are also SO MANY SPIDERS down there. I’d feel more comfortable setting it on fire than cleaning it out. (I wouldn’t, but I’d be tempted.)

Spellbook of the Lost and Found is a twisty-turny story best enjoyed on a crisp fall day as gorgeous as Moïra Fowley-Doyle’s atmospheric writing.

Yesterday I finished Beasts Made of Night by Tochi Onyebuchi and gave it 4 ⭐️’s. . This is a Nigerian inspired fantasy following Taj, an Aki (sin-eater) who is paid to kill sin-beats and consume the sins of the rich and powerful! . This was such a unique book and I absolutely loved the world. It was brilliant to read a fantasy based on Nigeria (with the main religion based on Islam, I think!) 👀 . I didn’t give this 5 because it felt a little rushed at times. I wish this book had been 100 pages longer, to give us more character development and because I love Onyebuchi’s writing! . This book is out on the 31st of October! I managed to get an early copy at YALC this summer 💜 . #tochionyebuchi #beastsmadeofnight #razorbill #razorbillbooks #bookreview #bookstagram #yafantasy

… “I’m wicked and I’m lazy oh don’t you wanna save me” -X Press 2 Feat David Byrne __ Day 2 November #bookreadhappyhour: Paint with all the colors of the wind – Autumn Colors. I’ve got this view from my hotel room that overlooks treetops with leaves that are clinging on for dear life. Greens, yellows and reds just waiting to fall to the ground! As you can see, I’ve caught a few of them in my photo lol. Check out my story for the view!! __ I’ve not read Ember in the Ashes yet, and really want to this month. I know there’s a bunch of brouhaha about the new covers, but I love the inclusion aspect. I never really appreciated people on covers until now! __
What’s your favorite autumn color? I’m going to stick with black, if that’s okay. But today, I’m wearing dark green. __ #bookstagram #booksofinstagram #book #books #bookish #bookphotography #bookphoto #bookishfeatures #bookstagramfeatures #humansofbookstagram #bilbiophile #booklove #booknerd #bookworm #bookdragon #booklover #bookaholic #ilovebooks #sabaatahir #autumn

With darkness falling earlier and earlier as the days go on, we love how these bright new covers for the An Ember in the Ashes series pop. Huffington Post said this fantasy series “glows, burns, and smolders–as beautiful and radiant as it is searing.”
