K. R. Gaddy
K. R. Gaddy is a freelance writer and historian. Her previous work includes Flowers in the Gutter, which Kirkus praised as "an eye-opening account of tenacity that brings the efforts of young anti-Nazi activists vividly to life" in a starred review, and Well of Souls, which the Economist called "beguiling…Gaddy successfully blends archival skills with imagination." She has received the Parsons Award from the Library of Congress, a Logan Nonfiction Fellowship, and a Robert W. Deutsch Foundation Rubys Artist Award. She holds an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from Goucher College, and her work has appeared in The Washington Post, Baltimore magazine, Washington City Paper, Baltimore Sun, Bitch Magazine, Narratively, Proximity, Atlas Obscura, OZY, Shore Monthly and other smaller history and music publications. She lives in Baltimore.
